This new Recommend thing for the directory is just another way to judge popularity. Granted, the Directory on Tumblr has always been a bias display of who’s who, but now it’s just allowing other Tumblrs to judge popularity rather than just the Tumblr staff. I’m not whining cause I’ve never been on it since I honestly believe it doesn’t mean much to be on it, I’m just saying it the new substitution for Tumblarity. Statement.

*Can’t the Directory just be that, a Directory? Like just list the Tumblrs in alphabetical order or something simple and un-high-school-like?
